During ideation I can provide valuable builds and insights to co-create the best possible expression of your ideas. Or I can sit at a distance, drawing and taking notes autonomously. I love collaborating with intelligent people in fast-paced workshop environments and thinking on my feet to make your ideas shine.
Once you have an agenda we can discuss how to apply my skills to bring you the best possible outcome – and if your workshop is still taking shape then we can have a chat beforehand, I can turn up with a suitcase full of materials and we can work out my role as we go.
A lot of workshops are confidential, so I don’t have much work which I can show here. The process looks something like this cartoon, though, and I have a small selection of work below.
Creative Support
It’s not unusual for me to combine scribing, product illustrations and craft skills during a workshop, and my outputs have ranged from sketches of products which are now sold internationally to props and costumes for roleplaying exercises.
Confidentiality
Workshops often involve sensitive or confidential information and I’ve signed a lot of NDAs over the years. Unless I am digitising work after the session for you I will leave all illustrations, notes and preparatory work in your hands.

Beyond Live Illustration...
These ways of working are just the tip of the iceberg and I have a broad range of skills which I can apply to maximise the impact of your project or event with appropriate supplementary materials. Sometimes a single image from a session is so resonant that it deserves to be developed further, but I have also created rich pictures, comics, zines and animated cartoons to support or extend live illustration projects.
